Blackhawk Bluff Neighborhood Lights: November 24th – January 1st, 2024

Visit Blackhawk Bluff’s Girvin Road light show from November 24th to January 1st, 2024 Experience thousands of holiday lights from light spheres to decorative holiday scenes that the whole family is sure to enjoy. 

The display is free to the public and is voted one of Jacksonville’s best light displays during the holiday season. Hours of operation are 6pm – 10pm Sunday through Thursday and 6pm – 11pm Friday and Saturday.

Luminaria Festival: December 10th, 2023

The Luminaria Festival is a must this holiday season, especially for those near the Riverside and Avondale neighborhood. Purchase a $39 luminaira tour ticket to explore historic neighborhoods and enjoy Christmas caroling, live music, warm hot chocolate and enchanting light displays. 

This year, Luminaria celebrates its 39th anniversary and will take place on December 10th, 2023 at dusk. Purchase your Luminaria kit online and the Jacksonville community from 5-10pm at the Garden Club of Jacksonville on Riverside Avenue to celebrate the holiday season.

Jacksonville Zoo Lights: November 19th – January 18th, 2024

The Jacksonville Zoo is a great family destination no matter the time of year, especially during the holiday season. Visit the 2023 Colors of the Wild ZOOLights Lantern experience on Thursdays through Saturdays now until January 18th to view a dazzling display of over two million twinkling lights. 

Located at 370 Zoo Parkway, the display also features talented musical performers, a 4D theater presenting the Polar Express, hot chocolate and smores, and even a Wildlife Carousel ride for guests 12 and under. Tickets purchased online in advance begin at $20 for zoo members, $25 for non-members, and free for children under two.

Deck the Chairs: November 22nd – January 1st, 2024

Pile in your Chevy and head to Deck the Chairs, a beach-side display that features light sculptures made by organizations local to Jacksonville to promote children’s art education and outreach. The non-profit display is available nightly from 5pm to 1am now through January 1st, 2024. 

Located along the Jacksonville Beach Seawalk Pavilion, bring the whole family, including pets, to enjoy the beautiful light display and support the community. The handicap accessible event also features decorated American Red Cross lifeguard chairs and weekly activities including music and dance performances.
